Ukraine and Germany broad the economic cooperation

Ukrainian part of the group was led by Vice Prime Minister for European and International Integration Hryhoriy Nemyria, while the German part – by State Secretary of Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology Bernd Pfaffenbach.
“This sitting is the proof of Germany’s trust in Ukraine. It demonstrates even the crisis times are not an obstacle to developing cooperation and give chance not only to think about the crisis but also about the life aftermath,” Hryhoriy Nemyria said during a joint press conference with Bernd Pfaffenbach.
In his turn, Bernd Pfaffenbach also stressed in such complicated times “Ukraine and Germany have managed to elaborate concrete projects of economic cooperation which have to be realized step by step”.
Hryhoriy Nemyria also highly assessed a possibility to exchange with experience in the course of the event which Germany and the EU possess concerning the most effective methods and instruments to find the way out of the crisis.
The meeting dealt with considering issues of cooperation in energy domain, in particular raising of energy effectiveness, modernization of transport area of Ukraine, cooperation in building domain and in agriculture.
Upgrade of housing and communal services of Ukraine was also among the issues for discussion.
In this connection Hryhoriy Nemyria expressed gratitude to the German party for the assistance in realization of a joint project on reconstruction of housing and communal services of Alchevsk which can be a model for reconstruction of many cities in Ukraine. “Nowadays it is advantageous for Ukraine,” he stressed.
On the outcomes of the sitting Protocol on furthering bilateral Ukraine-Germany negotiations in cooperation to ensure economic development has been signed between the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine and Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of the Federal Republic of Germany.
